Curator & Artist Talk: REAL DMZ PROJECT 2015 – Tatsuo Miyajima in Conversation with Sunjung Kim

Art Sonje Center presents an Artist & Curator Talk by Tatsuo Miyajima and Sunjung Kim. Miyajima often uses LED counters that flash in continual and repetitious cycles between 1 and 9 to represent a never-ending cycle of life and death. The artist will discuss his work including Counter Skin at 38′ in South Korea (2008) in relation to his theory that derives from his core artistic concepts of ‘Keep Changing’, ‘Connect with All,’ and ‘Go on Forever.’ Miyajima will also discuss his two solo exhibitions, Count of Life (Art Sonje Center, 2002) and 38 (Mongin Art Center, 2008), held in Seoul that were curated by Sunjung Kim.
