[ASJC Talk & Lecture] Doing Things Together: Curator Severin Dünser on participatory projects and the Viennese art scene
[ASJC Talk & Lecture]
Art Sonje Center strives to provide opportunities for the community to not only experience the artworks but also gain insights into the artists’ creative process by establishing communication platforms where all can engage in creative and critical discussions on art. The [ASJC Talk & Lecture] program aims to foster an organic and dynamic ecosystem among creators, curators’ researchers, and participants.
Doing Things Together: Curator Severin Dünser on participatory projects and the Viennese art scene
Since the early 2000s, Severin Dünser curated more than 80 exhibitions. Living in Vienna for more than 20 years and spending lots of quality time with the local art crowd led to many projects. Some of those were group exhibitions featuring the protagonists of the Viennese art scene. The lecture will include some of these shows to give an impression of the city’s multifaceted art practices. Furthermore, Severin Dünser will present some of his participatory projects that transformed conversation pieces into social sculptures (and the other way around). The lecture is followed by a tasting of various drinks, conceived and appropriated by young Korean artists.
