About the lecture
This lecture offers a unique opportunity to explore the overall work of artist Do Ho Suh within the broader context of site-specific art, a major trend in contemporary art.
Suh contemplates the relationship between his artworks and the spaces in which they are exhibited, creating new layers of meaning and interaction. Suh’s artistic practice revolves around the concept of ‘movement’—his works only achieve their full potential when they are installed in an exhibition space and encountered by viewers. In this dynamic exchange, the audience becomes an integral part of the artwork, while the work itself transforms the space, resulting in a multi-layered experience that lies at the core of Suh’s works.
