Laurence Yadi, Today
Art Sonje Center and Embassy of Switzerland will present Laurence Yadi’s TODAY on Oct 9, 2019.
Supported by Swiss Fund Korea, Pro Helvetia and Institut Français, TODAY concretizes her buried, undisclosed emotions into almost motionless movement. On a music oscillating between metallic noise and African pulsation, Yadi triggers a tremor that ripples, rises and invests little by little her whole body. With TODAY, Laurence Yadi and Nicolas Cantillon confirm their approach to dance: they bet on infinite continuous movements sculpting the body in a trance which reveals intimacy as much as universality.
