In conjunction with the exhibition, the Art Sonje Center presents a series of T-shirts created in collaboration with RE;CODE, a brand that designs and produces clothing from upcycled materials. The T-shirt combines pattern fragments left over from Suh’s process of creating fabric homes with materials that RE;CODE reuses, such as clothing that is about to be burnt out or materials that have lost their function during the production process. Suh, an artist who explores clothing as the smallest unit of home that protects the human body, and RE;CODE, a brand that experiments with sustainable materials, will collaborate to give a new context to individual elements that have been deconstructed and lost their function in the context of as home and clothing. Four types of printed T-shirts and one type of patchwork T-shirt will be available for pre-order on RE;CODE’s official website and at The BOOKS of the Art Sonje Center, in order to minimize stock. Physical samples will be on display at The BOOKS of the Art Sonje Center.
