Young-jin Kim

Art Sonje is holding a solo exhibition of Young-jin Kim (b. 1961), who has been actively working in the international art scene with his video/media installation works. Kim has emerged, over the past decade, as an artist of international stature with an impressive body of work that comprises conceptual gravity and visual ingenuity. Best known for his Fluid Projections series, the main characteristic of Kim’s work is seen in his devotion to focusing on sensuality as an artist in his narratives rather than emphasizing abstract concepts or ideas. However, in formality, his works have shown various methods which reflect the artist’s steadfast experimental spirit. This exhibition features both his earlier works and recent works of 5 large installations works, including Fluids- 12 Silhouettes, Globe Exit of the Anima, Swing, and Walk of Time.
