Nuit Blanche: Scenes from Northern Europe in 1990s

The traveling show, Nuit Blanche – Scenes from Northern Europe in the 1990’s, is held at the Musee d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris from February 8, 1998 to May 10, 1999. This exhibition is a part of the “Visions du Nord” project series, which features works of 37 contemporary video artists from five Northern European countries, including Norway, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, and Sweden. This exhibition is organized by the Musee d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris’ curators Laurence Bosse and Hans Ulrich Obrist (also the curator for Seoul’s Project Media City 2000), who traveled throughout Northern Europe to appoint five curators from each country to collect video works of various artists. It will provide an excellent yet rare opportunity for viewers in Korea to observe the development of Northern European video art.
