Less Ordinary
The exhibition Less Ordinary has been organized with the intention of introducing a part of ongoing French contemporary art with the support from the Association Francaise d’Action Artistique (AFAA) and French Embassy in Korea. The exhibition offers another perspective to view the present system of the French contemporary art through independent projects, highlighting works of each artist’s unique and sensuous qualities. Less Ordinary brings the works of 12 contemporary French artists whose works mark the current French contemporary art scene with their aesthetic values. Such artists are Alain Bublex, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Valery Grancher, Pierre Joseph, Koo Jeong A, Mathieu Laurette, Natacha Lesueur, Mathieu Mercier, Melik Ohanian, Bruno Serralongue, Marine Hugonnier, and Allexandre Pollazzon (of “Video Traffic”). This exhibition shows a variety of works by the young French artists who have received a rich and complex legacy from their ancestors.
