In the field of art, Ceramics Commune is a discrete exhibition that illuminates dreams and vision of happy communities through ceramics art works of the contemporary. Not only the value of objet, but this exhibition will be consisted of fifteen individuals and four teams of both national and international artists, whose works pays attention to the value of ‘life’, and it will be presented in several places with Artsonjae Center as its center.

The exhibition was originally intended to be shown as a main exhibition of Gyeonggi International Ceramix Biennale 2011, but as the former artistic director Ihn-bum Lee (professor of Sangmyung University) resigned due to a problem in which he was unable to fully commit himself to the project, it has been postponed until the present days. In that sense, the realization of Ceramics Commune is at least an articulation of the problem and ethics towards art in the public realm now.
