From January 25th to February 17th, 2013, Art Sonje Artistic Researchers Group(a.k.a. Art Sonje ARG) presents an exhibition 2013 Art Sonje Lounge Project#1: Project ARG by Art Sonje Artistic Researchers at the Lounge of Art Sonje Center. The exhibition shows the processes and results of the projects driven by Art Sonje ARG’s three month activities from 31st October, 2012 to 31st January, 2013

Art Sonje ARG has been promoted as a new style of an art education for more active participation in contemporary art field. The researchers have been experiencing and learning by involving the production and processing of artworks; how they are initiated and realized by the help and collaboration with others as well as artistic research and discussion.

Although the researchers have different backgrounds and different standpoints on art, they have come up as a group under a name of art and taken various steps through their three months activities along with projects and exhibitions in Art Sonje Center and workshops with artists who are actively working in art scene. Also, Art Sonje ARG has found their wants and chances to develope their own projects, and finally realized them as time being.

Project ARG by Art Sonje Artistic Researchers presents the manifest of their three month’s prosperous experience in art. It is not a passive activity by seeing and hearing, but a process of realization of experiencing, participating, and developing art projects by their own media. The researchers have shared their interests and taken each part like as creating artworks, producing publications, designing print matters, and organizing an exhibition. By this project, Art Sonje ARG expects to continue having deep relationships and developments with art on-going.
