Judging Process
Among the candidates recommended by the five nominating committee members, three are to be selected as finalists by the judging committee. The finalists in 2004 are Chang-Kyong PARK, Yeondoo JUNG, and flyingCity. Together, they prepare a new project which is to be introduced to the judges, the art society, as well as the general public. Based on this exhibition, the final winner is selected by the same judging committee.
The judging committee of 2004 Hermes Korea Missulsang consists of 5 members, among which were 3 Korean judges, RaYoung HONG Deputy Director of Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art, Hun-Yee JUNG professor of Hansung University(Painting), Yong-Ik KIM professor of Kyungwon University(Painting), and 2 foreign judges, David ELLIOTT, Director of Mori Art Museum in Tokyo and Marie-Claude BEAUD, former Director of Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris and present Director of Fondation Musee d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean in Luxembourg.
